The sun sets on another day...
The skies opened up and the rain poured. The skies closed and it was light, then dark, then light again. A second of peace was followed by minutes of chaos, and minutes of chaos followed by seconds of peace. Whether it was beautiful or gloomy was entirely in the instant, and the entire evening an illusion of a war between light and darkness.
I am always excited by storm, rain and storm and rain and sunset and, well, come to think of it, I am always excited. To me, each moment of our lives is an illusion of the day, and the only real thing we can grasp and hold on to is our relationships with each other.
Now don't get me wrong, I am not floating above a rock thinking I can eat air and turn saiyan if I need to, and I do have a job, bills, and a healthy appetite that I am working on reducing, but in the end, I find a lot of what we experience to be the illusions I speak of today.
We need to find a way to separate truth from illusion and in the process learn a little more about ourselves, after all, we deserve better than the illusions we sometimes allow, and we need to give more than our illusions let us give, well, usually.
Take a moment and take stock, and see what is real and what is illusion, and make a pact to be more, and love more, and live more each and every day.
So as the sun sets on another day, the day is done but it is a day like no other before, and no other to come. No matter how much we try to make it mundane each day offers the chance for a great reality. Even in the face of pain, despair, and a hundred other nightmares, we are what we make ourselves, and everything else, well, it is an illusion. Either way, make your life wonderful, and instead of bad, make your illusions the most amazing they can be and then make them reality too, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, hold on tight, and love the night away...
