The sun sets on another day...
The rain held off, and tonight the sky was lit with images of everything. Clouds abounded, and the world seemed to be a much better place for a while.
I friend once said that sometimes to see the light, you have to cross into the shadows. I thought a lot about this today, and it is quite true. Often, the light obscures the truth as much as it points it out, and in doing so, obscures good solid paths.
Huh, sounds like I am saying take a walk on the dark side.
Nope, I am not. What I am saying is sometimes the dark side has to be considered to find the light. You can't just ignore it and think it will go away.
I get a kick out of people who think everything is always good. I also get a kick out of everyone who looks at the bad first. The truth of it all is somewhere in the middle, and people as a whole need to realize that both sides sometimes have history, and the walls and barriers and states of mind are there for a reason.
As I sit here thinking about the shadows, it has gotten dark, and somewhere out in the dark is a little bit of light. Somewhere, there is a moment of good old fashioned wow, and it is there we want to be.
So as the sun sets on another day, this may seem confusion if you read it a few times. My whole one sentence point is "Don't stay too far int eh light as you miss the shadows, nor so far in the shadows you lose your light." Sound good? I hope so. Find your center, be that person who pays attention to the light, and enjoy your day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and live it...
