The Sun sets on another day…

Sunset was beautiful and filled with crimsons and reds. It is always amazing to sit and watch the sunset and be overwhelmed by its majesty.

When I started writing 29,000 sunsets it was to get out feelings and ideas that would be left for my children. As the number of readers has grown I have tried to give some inside into my strange views of the world. I have been told over and over did it seems like I have done just about everything. I find every day that I have not. Instead each day I learn something and each day is an opportunity for me to grow.

It's like learning to walk. I don't think very many people understand the complexity of just walking across a room. I once Tata class on programming and writing pseudocode challenged everyone to walk across the room. At the end of it we swapped sheets and tried to cross the room using the pseudocode instructions from others. When someone would say “lift a foot” you quickly found out that neither lift or foot had been defined. It became a comedy to write something as simple as walking across the room.

As I write each day I marvel at the complexities of very simple concepts. Some of them are so over the top that it could take pages upon pages just to explain a piece of it. Here I am today considering how to write the dynamics of a sunset that I have done so many times in a new way and I find myself challenged by the simple awe of such an amazing event. Maybe sunsets and the descriptions of such should be left alone and we should just enjoy it. I like that.

So as the sun sets on another day I am not going to describe to you how to walk across the room and I'm going to leave my descriptions of the sunset simple and pure and just let the complexities of your imagination walk you to the edge and enjoy it with me. Enjoy every day, it's worth it.

Sleep sweet, love life, and keep on walking…
