The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was lost again behind the clouds. I enjoyed it though as I sat in my warm room reading a book.
I've been reading a lot lately and will be posting a lot of reviews pretty soon on another page. My thoughts behind all these reviews will be to show people that I appreciate their writing and give other people some idea of what they're in for when they read. With that in mind I thought about my books for a moment and more importantly the first book in the Masterson Files series: Vengeful Son.
Some fun reviews are:
“Andrew is a super-tight writer. I knew that going into this book. Andrew understands the twist ending like few others I've read. I knew that, too. What I didn't know was that Andrew also knows how to give you depth of emotion and layers of intellect, without making it seem like the characters have something to prove. These are real people he writes about, confronted with extraordinary circumstances, that in truth, simply make up their ordinary lives. Having that glimpse into their motivations - and the lack of the necessity to explain themselves - is refreshing and alluring.”
“Took me a bit to get used to reading it because it’s written in third person. I’ve been reading a lot of first-person books and they make you feel like your right there watching it all happen. This book made it feel like someone was telling me the story. The story was interesting and kept you guessing.”
“If you like action packed crime fighting stories this book is right for you. I would say this book reminded me a lot of the Bourne movies and a little of Mr. and Mrs. Smith I look forward to picking up the next book in this series, Sinful Father, and seeing what the characters get themselves into next.”
“Vengeful Son is a wild ride into the tormented life and times of Michael Masterson, part assassin for hire, part government operative- is he a villain, a hero, or both? If, as you enjoy this intriguing novel, you think you've figured it all out, think again. The twists and turns are endless and the action begins on page one. Well done, Mr. Smith; Well done!”
“Unrealistic action hero but a really fun read. One of the few books of this genre that actually gets most of the gun details right. Michael, the common man's James Bond.”
Who knows I may give a whole lot more.
So as the sun sets on another day, remember that every writer likes to see their reviews and there's so much to enjoy if you actually read . Take a moment , read a book and enjoy the plot and the journey to another world , no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and read more…
