The sun sets on another day...

It is always interesting when someone personifies an inanimate object, well, it is usually interesting I should say. This morning while I listened to a talk radio show and watched the sun rise over a desolate area in the highway I was amused to hear a host talk about campaign supporters as groups that follow like the flowers do the sun. The reason this amused me is perhaps I have high hopes for people, their lives, their passions and their pure intellect. As the host explained his statement though, I found myself seeing some of his point, though I have more faith in people. (Yes, that has cost me a few pains from being too trusting.)

What I think he missed is we do not have 2 or 5 or 10 suns, we have 1, and it is the most prominent thing in the sky, and to follow the sun is to follow life itself, so though I see the point, I think following the sun like a flower is not so bad if you know the way to be the only way to life.

(wow, there are about a hundred ways to read that)

Anyway, after watching an amazing sunrise and an amazing sunset today all I can say is it is not so bad to follow your passion, follow those things that are important in life, and make a difference by showing others the direction of the sun. Hmm, good idea, at least in theory.

So, as the sun sets on this amazing night, and the puffy clouds are lit by scarlet hues ever deepening as the sun sets, lets consider following happiness, and finding our way to be happy, each and every day.

Sleep sweet, smile, and enjoy the evening!

The sun sets on another day...

As I walked down the road today looking at the sky and nearly falling over with vertigo, I saw the leaves of a dozen hues hanging above me, the blue sky and white puffy clouds dancing behind. It was a stark contrast as I looked at these and I considered how life would be so bland if everything was the same color and same shade. It might be we would not see anything at all, for without color and shade, how could we see?

In my opinion life is similar. We are who we are and see in a more positive manner because we see contrasts. Good people and bad, happy and sad. We feel good and bad and happy and sad but how can there be happy without sad? How can there be good without evil? I have said it before, but take a second and appreciate the bad times in your life, because as you overcame those, you found your way to be the good person you are today. (Or vice versa maybe) Perhaps the world would be a better place today if more people had seen more bad, so they could strive for good? (A silly thought perhaps, but a "maybe".

So as the sun sets on another day, be happy, be excited, and enjoy the moments each and every day, good and bad, happy and sad, and in the process become a better person.

Sleep sweet, love, and try to forgive the unforgivable...

The sun sets on another day...

Take a break for a moment, laugh, smile, be happy, enjoy a moment, watch a dumb movie, watch a smart movie, hold someones hand, talk to a friend, find peace.

Let's skip all the stuff that has been going around, the tension, bad people, weird elections, and so much more, and just be at ease, enjoying the sunset, no matter what.

So as the sun sets on another day, breath in, breath out, and enjoy.

Sleep sweet, love life, and laugh a little! (Maybe a lot, you deserve it!)

The sun sets on another day...

It is always awe inspiring when you look at the evening sky and imagine how many sunsets have come before, and how many are yet to come. In the grand scope of it all our age is very very small compared to the planet, the sun, and even our civilization. (Though we are very young)

As I sat for a moment today considering the wind and the waves I imagined all the people who had stood on that beach before, hundreds of thousands of sunsets shared with people across the centuries. Thousands of memories inspired, and thousand of poems, stories, and feelings brought forth by the melodic maelstrom of colors the sunset brings to us.

For a moment I was in awe, then I considered all those who were watching the sunset with me, not just where I was, but all over the world, and the feelings they had as the light danced across the skies. I knew there would be those people sharing the moment with me, and those who were oblivious, but I was at peace. It is my hope that obliviousness (cool word huh?) will fade and we will appreciate the future, the sunset, and the beauty of the world, no matter what.

So as the sun sets on another day, if you are one of the thousands that occasionally look at this small part of the internet know that we were watching the sunset together, or sharing a picture, or a moment, or a thought, and smile for a few minutes, and maybe laugh too.

Sleep sweet, love life, and be happy, it is worth it...
