The sun sets on another day...

As the sun passes into twilight for another day, you can be sure it is one more day passing, and one more tick of the clock.

You know, the hands of the clock go round and round, top help us tell the time. Perhaps the sun goes round and round to help us tell the time as well. Far too often we are not aware of how time passes, and what should have been yesterday could have been last week, last month, or even last year. Perhaps we need to consider carefully the impact of time not only on us, but on those around us, and as we watch the hands of the clock realize that time, yes time, is the most precious thing we have to give and that is given to us, no matter what.

So as the sun set son another day, consider time as your bank, and pay attention to how you use it and how it impacts you so you can enjoy each moment, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and smile....

The sun sets on another say...

As the sun passes over us and fades to twilight the moon takes over to light our night.

In life there are times we pass on our mantle to another and times when we carry the torch. Often the transition takes time, sometimes a little, sometimes far more. It always takes as much time as is necessary to change from the old to the new. No more, no less.

So as the sun sets on another day consider the transitions in your life, in all that you do, in what others do, and remember  transitions will not be to your time table but instead will be to the timetable necessary and in the end, the torch will be passed, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and embrace change always....

Today's post from a guest. Enjoy!

The sun sets..

Every moment of every day is important. Every decision you make from the time you wake up to the time you go to sleep has an impact. The clothes you wear, the music you listen to, the route you take to work, the time you go to bed. All of it equally effecting not only your own life but the lives of people around you. It has always been so interesting to me to hear people say that they don’t think their life really matters in the grand scheme of things.

I personally have never understood this mentality. Why don’t I understand? It’s simple really. Everyone matters. If I sit here and tell you that the color shirt you wear one day has an impact on another person, you’ll read this and think I’m crazy, but if I sit here and explain to you that the hunter green shirt you’ve chosen to wear today reminds me of my first job and everything I learned there and all of the people I met there which brings a smile to my face as I reminisce about all of the happy memories associated with that one simple color, you may now understand how that small choice you made changed a moment in time for me.

I think people are so caught up in things being obvious these days. In order to feel like they matter, they must be told. However, that one stranger that you decided to smile at today may now be having a better day because of you but you’ll never know that. I’d never tell you that your shirt reminded me of a different time in my life but it will still bring the memories flooding back.

Sometimes in life, you need to recognize just how much of an impact you are actually making without needing to hear it from someone else. If you are always waiting to be told how important you are and how special it is for you to be alive, if you always need that affirmation from others, you will never find it. You simply need to have faith in yourself.  Why is it so difficult for people to find solace in themselves.

As the sun sets, think about everything that happened, every decision you made, every choice and recognize that you are here for a reason. And always remember that tomorrow is a fresh start and every day is a great day to be alive.

The sun sets on another day...

Ten million dollars sits on your desk, how do you count it? One hundred Million is now on your desk, how big is it? You are given the job of present, where do you start? You have the power of an exploding sunset, what can you do with it? You now live forever and a day, how long is that?

We often ask ourselves questions we can't easily answer. Those questions can sometimes be quite difficult as we have no point of reference. How many people have counted 10 million dollars? Not many, would it fill a room? or a briefcase?

Years ago I did a management exercise on how much was a plunger. The prices were all over the place since most people didn't buy them often, if ever, they just had them or didn't pay attention to the cost.

So when we think about "forever", do we really understand the depth of forever? Do we know how we feel, and how we should approach such? When we say, "we love you forever" can we really understand the concept? I think some people say the words, some people believe in forever, and some people actually see forever. If we can, we can see things changing yet unchanging, and in the process understand we are part of a much bigger world than we think we are a part of and we are special, forever.

Funny huh? No matter what we are special forever.

So as the sun sets on another day, think about those things that are seemingly immense, and in the process, feel a little smaller, but a lot larger in this wonderful thing called life. As you do so, realize you are the only you, and you are special, each and every day, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and dream big dreams...
