The sun sets on another day...

Sunset was again stunning. The sky was filled with color, and the people sat in their cars and watched the sun fall behind the clouds, laughing, smiling, crying and more all the time.

I live in the country. Not far from the city, but not on the beaten path either. The temperatures have been cool this year, perhaps cold until a few weeks ago. Now the area is green, luch, and continues to bloom. This week the ferns rose, and it is a sight to see.

The ferns are between 2 and 3 feet tall, some taller, and blanket the forest as far as you can see. A few weeks ago there were fallen trees, limbs, sticks and more, but now there is a thickening blanket of green just above the ground, and that blanket does a few fun things. First, it makes the forest look uniform. Every where is beautiful, if you like ferns. Second it keeps moisture in the ground, and things grow, boy do they grow, third it hides small animals. the area is full of hawks, owls, eagles and more, and the squirrels and chipmunk are now beneath the canopy. Last, silence abounds. The ferns absorb a lot of the sound. What was quiet in winder is as quiet now save for frogs, toads and crickets, and even they are quieter because of the canopy.

Who cares, right? Well, my weird point is as I watched the ferns I thought of all the people who have walls up, and how those walls tend to do the same. They hide us, make us look better, and quiet the things rolling around about us simply because they are a cover. It looks good and all, but eventually, it all uncovers again and you will have to clean it up. That is the bad thing about ferns, they are seasonal.

Something to consider at least.

So as the sun sets on another day, it would be better if the ground were clear under the ferns. It would be better if we didn't need our walls to hide who we were. Maybe we need to clear out our selves and use the cover just as decoration, and make our life as real as it can be. After all, if we only have 29000 sunsets, maybe our best time would be used enjoying life, not covering it up, but instead making it beautiful. Make your life full of beauty, and enjoy the sunset, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love always, and be happy all you can...

The sun sets on another day...

As you see the picture you will know, sunset was spectacular. A small veil of clouds added a fiery blanket to the slowly descending orb, and as I sat at my car I smiled at the beauty around me.

I would say there isn't much to say, but there is always a lot to say. The couple in the next car were talkative, they were almost giddy with the opportunity to see another amazing sunset. Then, in the midst of it all, a care stopped in front of me, deposited a person, parked, and ran out in front of everyone to stand and take a picture of the sunset.

There are two sides to this. One of course is they were oblivious to all of the people behind them taking pictures and enjoying the sunset, the other is of course that we were oblivious to their joy in seeing this most perfect sunset in front of us. Of course I smiled, laughed, and got a good picture and I hope they did as well, but it is cool either way to be focused on the beauty around us.

It is easy to see either side, or quite a few morte, but my only suggestion today is that you, I and everyone else try to see beyond themselves for just a moment. See it from someone else's viewpoint, and perhaps this will allow us to see a little more. Don't be oblivious to the world, and don't let the world be oblivious to you. It works, it would make the world a better place.

So as the sun sets on another day, be aware we are not alone. It is a big world. Be aware that other are here, and try to be nice along the way, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and see the world...

The sun sets on another day...

The sunset is a place of magic and excitement, tonight there was more magic and excitement as a packed area was full of cars and people watching from their cars as the sun slowly set in the western sky.

I walked to the edge and watched, and met two people who were engaged and excited about life. Two people who were truly alive. As we talked for a few minutes I was keenly aware that the world had changed, but there were people who still overcame the norm, and those people saw the world as the same, but with a few inconveniences. I was intrigued by the stories I heard, of having to stay home from a cancelled trip to Ethiopia, to the niceties of a trucker being able to have a good meal again. In the end, it was an enjoyable evening and I talked about it all the way home.

There is something special about being able top see people, and something more special about people who like to talk. They can open your eyes, and enthrall your mind, and at the same time give you hope.

So as the sun sets on another day, it is true the world is not the same, but I would like to think we can all find common ground and begin again, reborn in our positives, and perhaps setting aside out negatives. Take a chance, enjoy your time, and laugh a little, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and begin again...

The sun sets on another day...

Sunset was amazing, and even more amazing as I enjoyed the eveing and as it passed into night.

I enjoy parables. I was over the top for mythology. A good story is always something that makes you open your eyes, feel good, or a little of both. I usually feel pretty good after figuring out the substories and sub sub stories of tv shows or movies, and the lesson someone wants to tell. I weave things like this into my stories as well, trying to somehow relay a message about something that happened to me, and how to either achieve it or avoid it.

In "Vengeful Son" There are 5 core substories going on at once. I suppose I suffered a little from some of them. Since the books is action adventure, my weaving in of the idea that an assassin can feel true love was perhaps a little risky. The friendship and powerful bond between key individuals is common, but developing that bond is not always defined, and I tried to do so. Abby's relationship with Madison is outside of the storyline, and the time they spend together defines why Michael is now with Abby. Another substory is how a bit of information can be misconstrued, and shaped improperly very easily. A slight story that grows in book 6 is the small town bond in Ivel Kentucky, and how people from small towns build loyalty that surpasses so many in today's society.

No, I am not going to explain it all, read the books, I think you will see those and a few more.

So as the sun sets on another day, the reason I went down this path was simple: Not everything is at it seems. Sometimes a story has many stories going on at once, and maybe for now we should consider that it is true everywhere. Don't always assume what is on the surface is all the story, after all, an iceberg doesn't show much on the surface. Pay attention, and see more every day, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love deeply, and keep your eyes open...
