The sun sets on another day...
Today is a wonderful day worth living, and it is wonderful you are in this day and living it. What have you done today to make memories, and make your life full and complete? I was reading through a variety of quotes and ideas and came across the following:
"Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable." ~Sydney J. Harris
It is always amazing to me the number of people that avoid life, out of fear that someone will not like them, or they will lose stuff, or that they will have issue after issue. The key here is fear, we should avoid fear and live life. You are not always going to make everyone happy, perhaps you should then think about living for you to be happy first. Why live a life of despair or have issues each day with how life treats you when you can control the outcome?
Anything less is a waste of time.
BE happy, love life, and live for each and every day and the wonderful gift of life you were given.
The sun sets on another day...
..and tomorrow I will be done traveling for a few days and will have more new sunsets! (From readers and shots I have taken, there are only about 10 left on the server i pre-uploaded, eek)
Too often we forget there is a limit to our lives. Once of the reasons I choose 29,000 as a number of sunsets was to set a finite number that people could understand. We often look at tomorrow as a promise, it is not. Take this quote:
"Many people die with their music still in them. Why is this so? Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out." ~Oliver Wendell Holmes
How many people do you know that have their music trapped inside, stuck in a moment that will never allow them to play. I have met quite a few, and hope they eventually find their way to believe in themselves and get out of troublesome situations. Find your music, play your song, and love life every day and as you go, help others find their music, make life exciting, and enjoy every moment.
If you would like to have your sunset put online, send it to email@example.com
for consideration. It must be an original work and publication rights are transferred by sending it. (Yeah yeah, it will just be online here)
The sun sets on another day. The hues this evening were amazing, the timing wonderful, and now we are once again on the swing of having more time in our days. (Well, we have been for a while)
This was just a massive post, and it become so convoluted as I have far too many thoughts today, that I set it aside. So let's start over.
If you want a good new years resolution, be truthful. Sometimes it will make people happy, and sometimes it will make them sad, but it will allow you to live for the truth. It also makes it easier not to get in trouble because it is so much harder to remember a lie.
So tell the truth this year, no matter what...
The sun sets on another year...
No, not a day, but in this case a year has passed and we move from one year to another as easily as we moved from one day to another. Today let's all take a moment to consider the year, the positives and negatives we have experienced. The changes we have undergone. The people we have lost, and those we have found. Take a moment and consider the fantastic moments of 2015, and as you do so, set aside those defeats you had, and turn them into lessons of life you can use to be a better person. Mostly, define who you are in life.
Close your eyes this eve as we pass into 2016 and make a promise to yourself to be a better person, to live for truth, to live for love, to invest the time necessary to make them a reality, and to be the lady or gentleman you should be and make the world a better place. As you listen and hear this song consider the words:Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind?Should old acquaintance be forgot, and old lang syne? CHORUS: For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne,we'll take a cup of kindness yet,for auld lang syne. And surely you’ll buy your pint cup!and surely I’ll buy mine! And we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,for auld lang syne.CHORUS We two have run about the slopes, and picked the daisies fine; But we’ve wandered many a weary foot, since auld lang syne. CHORUS We two have paddled in the stream, from morning sun till dine†;But seas between us broad have roaredsince auld lang syne. CHORUS And there’s a hand my trusty friend! And give me a hand o’ thine! And we’ll take a right good-will draught, for auld lang syne. CHORUS Have a great night and a happy new year, live life fully, Believe in yourself, don't sweat the petty things, nor pet the sweaty things, Hold on to love and abolish negativity. Tomorrow is another day...er year!
