The sun sets on another day...

Today while I was driving on a snowy road, it may be hard to believe, but I was considering a snowy road. After driving only a few miles the road went from clear to difficult and in the process and as usual, people began to panic. With patience and time there was no real danger but some people were driving very fast, some too slow, and some just right. In the process there were a variety of effects. Some ended up in ditches, some did not, and some took more time, and some less. Funny huh? My point is, people sometimes just don't pay attention to the situations and forge on too fast, and sometimes they are super careful, and of course sometimes they are just right. Who ends up in the ditch? All 3 can, because there are more factors than their decisions in play but the fast and slow may be more likely.

Sometimes in life people are similar. When the road starts to get tough, they drive to fast, drive to slow, or drive just right. It truly is random when good or bad happens, but their actions certainly influence it. Those people who drive too fast often blame everyone but themselves, but in reality, they were the cause of the issue. If they get out unscathed, they are happy. The ones who drive to slow, making others upset, are more likely safe, until the fast person runs over them. Those people trying to do the right thing are often just minding their own business and getting along, and they too can be affected depending on other influences but are likely the most aware of the conditions and have the least risk.

Silly thoughts to be sure. This could be a treatise on how driving in snow is like driving forward in life, but I try to bore people to tears.

So as the sun sets on another day I suggest a tactic. Perhaps the solution is to drive forward in life with open eyes, and watch for those people who are going too fast, paying attention to those going slow, but in the end just enjoying the drive. After all, isn't life worth living? Shouldn't we be as positive as possible and lead the way when possible, follow when necessary but in the end should we just make our way I think so! So make your way and have a little fun along that way, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and keep on truckin...

The sun sets on another day...

As the snow falls and the temperatures plunge with them, we start to see icicles form on homes, cards, or anywhere we see water. Some are small, some are large, but all reflect whatever light they find, sparkling like fire in the sky.

You know, icicles are formed over a short time by the water being heated (I know, where did the water come from) enough to melt and as the drip slowly makes is way to the ground, refreezing. The patterns are not set. As such no two icicles are the same. As they melt, they often fall, clearing a path below or making a pile of glass like shards that may become a mess.

Funny huh?

Yes, here is a case of analogies. (and you don't need an antihistamine for these) We as people build our issues like icicles from a roof. They hang sometimes small and tight, and sometimes long, sharp and near deadly like impatient swords waiting for a target. We create these from our pain, our sorrow, mistakes, and bad choices in life. These icicles can be massive, and sometimes they are hard to be rid of.

Our hearts need to put out the heat to melt the ice of our icicles, and eliminate them from our lives. Sometimes edges may fall and there may be repercussions, but I feel strongly the better solution is to focus on the positives in life and lose the low hanging ice that threatens not only each of us, but our friends, family and others as the pains of the past hang desperately from the sills. Dickens looked at it as though we built chains in life, but I think icicles are more appropriate because sometimes people take the icicles they make, and swing them at other people. (Icky)

The point is, it is the warmth of our passion that melts these icicles and lets us break our bonds and find happiness. We can be stuck in the icicles, imprisoned in a cage of our own making, or we can use truth, and passion to break free and become more, and more excited about everything in life.

Personally, I would like to be free of my icicles, because sometimes they fall on my head, but it is a journey I too must take.

(Yes, figure this one out)

So as the sun sets on another day consider the icicles you have forged and what threat they are to you, and to others, then find a way to eliminate the from your life by experiencing the warmth and passion that is in each one of us, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and stay warm....

The sun sets on another day...

Each day as the sun falls across the horizon it closes on day and begins another. Sometimes a day must close, for another to begin, well, always a day must close for another to begin.

In life we sometimes come to the close of one day, and we begin another. The days are tough sometimes, and amazing others, but in the end there is a new day, open with possibilities. We hope for the good, and face the bad, and no matter what we are there with open arms meeting the new day, each day, and every day. It is important to remember that there will be obstacles, people and situations that can try to bring you down. If you open your eyes there are as many positives as there are obstacles, as many highs as there are lows. We just have to accept them, and move forward in a positive manner and make our day as good as it can be, if not better.

So as the sun sets on another day, look forward and live for the positive moments in the world, and find your place in happiness, each and every day, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, smile brightly, and find happiness under every rock, and in every corner as well as the obvious places in your life.

The sun sets on another day...

Each day I write and for almost a year I have ended with "Sleep Sweet".

To me, the idea of sleep is a little odd, since I usually avoid it, but I sincerely hope each day that people can sleep sweet, for what they need, and love life as if it was the most important moment of the day, because perhaps it is.

So as the sun sets on another day, sleep sweet, and enjoy the moments, and in the process, enjoy every moment of every day, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and smile at today's short post!
