The sun sets on another year…
No, not a day, but in this case a year has passed and we move from one year to another as easily as we moved from one day to another. Today let’s all take a moment to consider the year, the positives and negatives we have experienced. The changes we have undergone. The people we have lost, and those we have found. Take a moment and consider the fantastic moments of 2015, and as you do so, set aside those defeats you had, and turn them into lessons of life you can use to be a better person. Mostly, define who you are in life.
Close your eyes this eve as we pass into 2016 and make a promise to yourself to be a better person, to live for truth, to live for love, to invest the time necessary to make them a reality, and to be the lady or gentleman you should be and make the world a better place. As you listen and hear this song consider the words:
Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should old acquaintance be forgot, and old lang syne? CHORUS: For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne, we’ll take a cup of kindness yet, for auld lang syne. And surely you’ll buy your pint cup! and surely I’ll buy mine! And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet, for auld lang syne. CHORUS We two have run about the slopes, and picked the daisies fine; But we’ve wandered many a weary foot, since auld lang syne. CHORUS We two have paddled in the stream, from morning sun till dine†; But seas between us broad have roared since auld lang syne. CHORUS And there’s a hand my trusty friend! And give me a hand o’ thine! And we’ll take a right good-will draught, for auld lang syne. CHORUS Have a great night and a happy new year, live life fully, Believe in yourself, don’t sweat the petty things, nor pet the sweaty things, Hold on to love and abolish negativity. Tomorrow is another day...er year!
