The sun sets on another day…er, the rain falls on another day…
Remember the song from Bambi “Drip drip drop little April showers”. We see the rain sometimes as an inconvenience, and as something we really do not want to see, it appears to dampen our moods and make us less than productive, but I suggest we see it in a different way. Perhaps we need to see it as the rain is the giver of life, that it makes our trees green and flush, and our grass grow strong (and the weeds too). Perhaps we need to realize that without water there is no life, and that we are part of a huge circle of life that requires this little rainstorm. Perhaps we need to remember, that life without rain would be dry and parched, and life with rain, enjoyable.
I read a quote once “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… It’s about learning to dance in the rain.” and that should apply every day. (Attributed to both anonymous and Vivian Greene) Isn’t that the most important way to see life?
So as the sun sets on another day, enjoy the rain, dance a little, and wait for the day soon that you will enjoy the moments in utter greenery and happiness, from the rain that fell today.
Sleep sweet, love life, and be happier than you deserve…
