The sun sets on another day…
If you objectify the sun and the moon and the stars and everything floating around in space it would truly be overwhelming. I would imagine the sun as a huge bass drum, bellowing in our proximity, the moon a rapid snare drum rolling at a different beat. Each of the stars a slightly different chime and as they play their concert the sun rises and sets to the wonderment of us all.
Perhaps it is the same already but we are not listening. The colors of the days and night playing their near silent song and we just have to take a moment, open our minds and hear it all. Perhaps what our eyes see, our ears just can’t hear, but it does not mean it is not there, just waiting to be heard.
So if we personified those same bodies how would they be, would the sun be James Earl Jones with his intensely amazing voice while the moon may be Bill Murray and the stars a series of small voices that again chime to us, nice but not imposing, exciting but not overwhelming.
So as the sun sets on another day I know this is an odd series of thoughts. At the center of it all, perhaps we need to engage our moments and let out spirit and imagination run wild, and enjoy the time we have, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, and love to the moon and back, and the stars beyond…
