Believe in you…

The sun sets on another day…

It is sometimes so amazing to listen to people with great ideas. Ideas fly around like seagulls on the beach when people are excited, but often, the people who are most “helpful” have the least confidence in themselves. There are so many positives they have to offer, they just need to apply the same to themselves and the world will be a better place.

Silent answer…

The sun sets on another day…

Quietly the sun crosses the sky, cutting a path of light behind and making us warm with its patient power.

Hmm, patient power. An interesting thought. Quietly powerful, hmm, that too is intriguing. I remember a show years and years ago where a man tried to read a sign that said “Do not bother this giant person” and try as they might they could not read the sign. When they woke the giant he picked them up, put their face to it, and read the sign word by word with them heartily in their grip.

Funny huh? The sleeping giant was silent and someone did not consider the risks in waking them.

I know a lot of people that are quiet, and they just want to be left alone.

Hot times, cool weather…

The sun sets on another day…

As the winter months close in on the northern hemisphere the temperatures plunge. The sun is slightly away from us and today I had solid water hitting my windows as I drove. The promise of warm weather is with us, but right now is hidden in our memories and our dreams. Holding on to today, we should be happy for the times we have to share the warmth with friends, family, and new people as the holiday seasons invades our daily lives, and in the process find peace and happiness.

Yes, it is cold outside, but there is never a reason to stop living, stop loving, or stop period. In each day there is a promise for warmth it just depends on how you define it. Be positive and live for the fun in life, even if it doesn’t seem fun.

So as the sun sets on another day, remember the warmth we all share inside and make it part of your heart even on the cold days, no matter what…

Sleep sweet, love life, and be amazing, each and every day…

A piece of string…

The sun sets on another day…

One of my favorite authors for a long time was  Guy de Maupassant. A long time ago he wrote a story called “A piece of String” that I thought of a lot lately. In the story the main character is chastised and their reputation destroyed because of perception, not reality. In their case it was due to no one believing that anyone would reach down and be so thrift as to pick up a piece of string, and as such, blamed him for a theft. No words could dissuade the villagers from thinking what they thought, after all, if others said it, it must be true.

The sun always rises in the east, and sets in the west. No one can debate it, it is fact. It would be nice if everything in the world was as factual as that, but it is not. There are a plethora of pretentious positions on every item known to man. I can only say with truth that we as people should be accepting and honorable to all positions. Positions are built by the history of each individual, not always by fact, and even fact is not always as factual as it is believed to be. (I can give many examples, but they are long and unnecessary to point out something most know as truth.) The point is the truth you know might be the truth but no matter how much you know it is the truth, it might not be as well.

For our poor man in the story, “A Piece of String”, he died with the truth, and knew it was the truth, and was never exonerated. (Icky huh?)

So as the sun sets on another day, and it will, watch the sun rise, and watch the sun set, and enjoy every moment. Feel the passion in your heart and your mind, and as you search for your truth, remember, it might very well be the truth, but it might not.

Sleep sweet, live for beauty, live for truth, and love to the moon and back…

Crazy?

The sun sets on another day…

Albert Einstein once wrote “A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?”. When you look at the depth of a man, is it better to see what you can touch, or be able to know what you cannot touch? I sometimes sit and think, I am told far too much. I am also told I read far too much into things than they really are, like watching a stone for hours only to be told it is just a stone. Then again, as I watch that stone for hours I feel sometimes I see more, the pores in its edges, the feel, the scent, the essence of the stone, so was it is waste of time or did I see something more than what was there or was it just rock and roll to me.

In talking to people it appears sometimes they just put too much thought into things that don’t require too much thought., (Sounds goofy I know) Think about it (or don’t) there are tons of things we need to consider daily, and some others just don’t matter. So who is crazy? The person who overthinks, or the person that overacts or the person that does nothing? I am a big imagination person, I like fun and passion and ideas and am not so worried about the tangible as I am the intangible. How do you think about yourself?

A fun thought, and perhaps too much thinking.

Puffing along…

The sun sets on another day…

As the weather circles the country like a stalled hurricane dumping rain upon us all and lowering the temperatures in anticipation of fall we receive a brief respite. The sun breaks through and brightens our day and perhaps there is a promise of a wonderful sunset.

Alas, the picture here is what happened and no matter what it is still a wonderful day as we are here.

The spirit rises…

The sun sets on another day…

I believe.

I believe in the goodness of man, and the need for man to do well. I believe that each person should have an opinion, and their opinion has a right to be heard, and I believe when we need to be the best we can be, we find a way to be the best we can be. Perhaps I believe because I have seen the best man has to offer, and the worst and I feel strongly the best will always win out when given a chance.

The world is an amazing place and long after the arguments of men are done, the world will still be an amazing place, filler with beauty, excitement, and people that are willing to do whatever is necessary to make the world a better place.

So as the sun sets on another day, let your spirit rise to an impossible task, and believe in goodness, and let the moments pass between even better.

Wave after wave…

The sun sets on another day…

I was watching today. People came and went, and they paid attention to themselves, and did what they needed to do. So I watched. After a while it seemed like there was a pattern, people would come and see more people, slow down for a moment, wait, then the area would thin out, while another wave replaced it.IT is always eye opening watching people and how they react in crowd, to crowds and when they become a part of crowds.

After a while I started talking to people in the office, and it caused a modification, we had some laughs, but I found that some gravitated towards the laughs, and some shied away. More wanted to be a part in my opinion, but some just wanted to go on, finish their business, and move to the next task.

It is my opinion we are better together being happy, than apart not feeling and I strongly feel we should hold on, laugh, love, and be a part of something special. Why? Because it helps us understand ourselves when we understand each other, and understanding is a big step towards being happy.
