The sun sets on another day…
Today while I was driving on a snowy road, it may be hard to believe, but I was considering a snowy road. After driving only a few miles the road went from clear to difficult and in the process and as usual, people began to panic. With patience and time there was no real danger but some people were driving very fast, some too slow, and some just right. In the process there were a variety of effects. Some ended up in ditches, some did not, and some took more time, and some less. Funny huh? My point is, people sometimes just don’t pay attention to the situations and forge on too fast, and sometimes they are super careful, and of course sometimes they are just right. Who ends up in the ditch? All 3 can, because there are more factors than their decisions in play but the fast and slow may be more likely.
Sometimes in life people are similar. When the road starts to get tough, they drive to fast, drive to slow, or drive just right. It truly is random when good or bad happens, but their actions certainly influence it. Those people who drive too fast often blame everyone but themselves, but in reality, they were the cause of the issue. If they get out unscathed, they are happy. The ones who drive to slow, making others upset, are more likely safe, until the fast person runs over them. Those people trying to do the right thing are often just minding their own business and getting along, and they too can be affected depending on other influences but are likely the most aware of the conditions and have the least risk.
Silly thoughts to be sure. This could be a treatise on how driving in snow is like driving forward in life, but I try to bore people to tears.
So as the sun sets on another day I suggest a tactic. Perhaps the solution is to drive forward in life with open eyes, and watch for those people who are going too fast, paying attention to those going slow, but in the end just enjoying the drive. After all, isn’t life worth living? Shouldn’t we be as positive as possible and lead the way when possible, follow when necessary but in the end should we just make our way I think so! So make your way and have a little fun along that way, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and keep on truckin…
