The sun sets on another day…
I watch a lot of movies. Many can guess this. Once upon a time there was a movie called “RoadHouse” where the main character was cleaning up a particularly nasty group of people. At one point a character played by Sam Elliott makes the statement “I’ll get all the sleep I need when I’m dead.” Funny, huh? Or is it? I am not suggesting anyone stay up all the time and eventually end up in a serious sleep deprivation mess, but how many times do we miss life instead of sleep? Is there any reason to miss life if it is truly a special moment?
I have a friend who gets up far too early each day and works to the end of the day and beyond, not because it is a necessity, but because it i a personal passion. They want to make themselves and their work the best they can be. Is that so bad? I have skipped so much sleep I am another person, not because I didn’t feel like sleeping, but because there were more important things to do.
Frost once said “promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep” and perhaps we should consider such each moment of the day until we find a better world. Well, don’t lose any sleep over it. (LOL)
Anyway, as the sun sets on another day, consider what your passions are and strive for them every moment of the day, and in the end perhaps you might lose a little sleep, but maybe gain a lot of satisfaction.
Sleep sweet, love life, and smile each and every day!
