The sun sets on another day…
There are many things in our lives that are timeless. The sun crossing the sky, east to west can be considered one of those, with a sunrise each day, and a sunset each night. There are other things, but not as many as you think, or perhaps more than I think. (Funny eh)
We need to realize in life that timelessness is rare. Things unaffected by time are things we need to pay attention to more closely. Even perceived timelessness, like what we see in our lives can be as wonderful. The timelessness of a parents love, or a true friend, they are not truly timeless, but in our minds they are as timeless as the sunrise and the sunset.
Consider for a moment the friend you know you can call right now and they will be there for you, no matter what, and nothing could break that bond. If you have a child, consider the lengths you will go to keep them safe, no matter what. The key here, is “no matter what”.
It is no surprise that I try to use that phrase a lot, because it means more than most people understand. It is “timeless” and it is something that should not be used lightly. I have several friends that I will be there for, “no matter what” if they call, and I know they will do the same for me. If Mark called me today and said he needed me, I would get in the car and start driving, no matter what the distance, and no matter what the issue. If Gary needed me for anything, I would be there no matter what the need, no matter what the cost. The list goes on. From time to time we forget that there are those people in our lives that are our “no matter what” people, and those people need to be cherished.
Of course there are people that abuse the phrase, and use it to get to an end, or do not understand its meaning from the beginning, but I hope that you have the types of people in your life that you are there for and who will be there for you, no matter what. Those people see you for who you truly are, and in those people we achieve timelessness as we know the things that make us important are there and will be there, no matter the time, no matter the distance, no matter the trials and tribulations, quite simply, no matter what.
So as the sun sets on another day, be timeless in your execution of the phrase, no matter what” and I will try to do the same, whether people are in the US or overseas. Michigan or Kentucky, or Indiana or Texas, it does not matter. What matters is the true bond between family and friends that will not break, that cannot be broken, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and live powerfully, each and every day…
