The sun sets on another day…
Today I worked hard in the dirt and muck after the rain. It was breezy and sunny, and the wind whipped away all the remnants of the showers that dominated the morning and early afternoon and soon it was tolerable as I took my time and planted roses. Patiently I laid the foundations, then planted the roses and smiled at my work. Someday it would be massive, and someday might be soon.
In life we often sow seeds just as I did today. Well, at least we should. There are so many things we can do for people and as we do them it gives people the opportunity to grow, prosper and truly be more. Sometimes we lay our foundations well, and sometimes we need some help, but always if we do good work we will find a blooming situation later in life.
No place is this more true than with our children. If we lay good foundations and carefully set the seeds of good in them, they will be good people. I happen to think taking that time was worth it and am proud of my children daily, not because I gave them anything or everything, but because I cares, I listened, I talked, and I believed in them.
So as the sun sets on another day, well, I hope you plant some seeds that return to you the happiness you deserve, like my roses they will grow and be bountiful, watch the thorns and make your foundations strong, and you will be rewarded, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and enjoy the evening…
