The sun sets on another day…
The sunset was obscured again, making it a very cloudy month! There was a little magic in the clouds as I drove though, and more than just grey sky.
Sometimes, when you are not really seeing anything maybe you should pay more attention to what you are seeing.
I know, this sounds like I am not quite all there, but maybe if we look a little closer, you can journey with me into a place where we can see more. We often are not looking in the right place when we are trying to see. There is a lot that goes on in the world and there is not really a wrong or right way to see it, but maybe we need to pay a little more attention to the blank canvas we think is in front of us. As you take a moment and look at nothing you may find a whole lot of something all around you. You may find that the world is showing you something you may not normally see. It may be that you are too close and can’t focus so close up, or maybe you are too far away, and can’t see from the distance you are at. Still confused? (Maybe I am)
I know, I am not necessarily focusing well for you. Here is an example: I spoke to someone today who was not seeing past a small piece of a picture. We discussed an issue for some time and they could just not see how I was looking at it. They were seeing only from their perspective. As I spoke to them and explained a larger picture, it clicked for them, and they suddenly saw more. It was not that it was not there all the time, it was just that they did not look. Their attitude changed and we had a very good conversation from that point on.
I have found myself in places where I could not see the bigger picture, and as I opened my eyes, well, the world changed a little for me. This is true with people, places, and things. Take a minute, and step out of your comfort zone and you may find the world is different. Perhaps you are not seeing the whole problem or solution, perhaps you are part of the problem, perhaps you are the solution. Maybe if you opened your eyes you would see life from a perspective that would allow you to laugh more, live more, love more.
It is a nice thought. All that can be certain is many people never see beyond a small part of themselves, and some people can see a lot more.
So, as the sun sets on another day, take a minute, widen your perspective, look at the world a little differently, and in the process see a world that is better, and maybe a little worse sometimes, but see the real world, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and smile tonight…
