The sun sets on another day…
I was saddened a little tonight as I saw an event and actually winced in sympathetic pain. Some people may be amused by it, some may wince with me, but I winced and did not enjoy the moment.
There are a lot of people in the world that understand a wince, and some people that truly do not. A wince is when you nearly or almost feel the pain of something happening before you. to you it is nearly real as you want a pained item happen, to you it is as real as if it is happening to you. Feeling it is empathetic and can be disconcerting. We often feel a lot when we see others in situations, emotional or otherwise.
Today’s question is how do you feel when you see something emotional in front of you. Happy, sad, energized? Do you wince or feel nothing?
I would like to think that we would all feel something, but often we do not. I would like to think that we all have the connection to cry at something sad or happy, to feel deeply when someone is in pain, or to feel happy when we see happiness. There is a lot to it, and in the end we need to acknowledge beyond ourselves and feel more deeply. Failing to do so can sometimes alienate us, failing to do so can be sad.
So as the sun sets on another day, I winced because I felt, do you feel when you see something difficult? Do you smile when you see a tender kiss? Do you laugh inside when a child giggles? All these things can open a door for you. Let the door open and enjoy it, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and enjoy the moments…
