The sun sets on another day…
Sunset came and went quickly and the rain attacked the twilight sky. Night fell like a thundering hammer, and the tinkle of raindrops sprayed sound on the evening.
I was watching people today. People who just watch the world go by and I wondered why some people think life can be a spectator sport.
Doesn’t it make sense that we need to engage and be engaged. Doesn’t it make sense that the world is full of people, and we can’t just wander by each other daily? I like to think we are all engaged enough to not make life a spectator sport and to try to help, try to engage, and just really, well, try.
It is not all that hard to smile at someone, nod a little, or take that extra initiative to make the world a little better, it is not that hard at all. I think we all need to look at the sunset together. (Well, not in one place, that would be silly) Look at the sunset as a moment in time we can talk to special people, laugh with others, be that fun person, help someone in need, and generally find a path to making the world a better place. It sounds easy, and maybe it is.
So as the sun sets on another day, life is not a spectator sport. Life is an amazing series of moments that make the world a better place if you let it. Life is a lot of things, and most of them are what you make them, so make them great, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and be involved…
