The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was brisk and exciting as though it were opening the gateway new possibilities. Isn’t that what sunset does every day? Doesn’t sunrise and sunset signify new beginnings and new endings?
I am fascinated by beginnings and endings. They are so different for different people. The beginning of a new job can be exciting and fantastic or it can be terrifying. Beginning of a new relationship can be exhilarating or it can bring added stress. Even starting a trip can be wowsers or a downer.
Endings are the same. Leaving a job can be stressful or a relief. School can be something we look forward to or something we dread. It all depends on how we relate the present at how we can deal with our day today.
Relationships are even more complex. The ending of a relationship can be something that opens doors and possibilities. Beginning of a relationship can also be devastating and create pure chaos.
I guess we can all speak with some authority on this because we have gone through all of these. Who hasn’t? We all seem to see the positives negatives and others and sometimes file them away not realizing that they have some importance to us all. It is all in how we handle it. Of course things like death or a new life are even more different and they have a tendency upbringing out the best worst and most emotional of us.
I have found over time that I have not handled things well in my past. Each thing I’ve gone through has helped me grow but it has also been a difficult passage. How could it now be? We face things, we learn and we extend our possibilities. All I am saying is how you see things today was not how you saw them yesterday, they have been changed by your actions and interactions, and the experience people have given you. One more time, you are growing because of the experience you are being given.
So as the sun sets on another day, good job! You grew, you extended your possibilities! Just keep growing and seeing the world the way it is and better each day, and learn from all your experience, good and bad. Begin each day with a clean slate, and end with a list of lessons that will make your life better, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love with all your heart, and a little more…
