The sun sets on another day…
As you see the picture you will know, sunset was spectacular. A small veil of clouds added a fiery blanket to the slowly descending orb, and as I sat at my car I smiled at the beauty around me.
I would say there isn’t much to say, but there is always a lot to say. The couple in the next car were talkative, they were almost giddy with the opportunity to see another amazing sunset. Then, in the midst of it all, a care stopped in front of me, deposited a person, parked, and ran out in front of everyone to stand and take a picture of the sunset.
There are two sides to this. One of course is they were oblivious to all of the people behind them taking pictures and enjoying the sunset, the other is of course that we were oblivious to their joy in seeing this most perfect sunset in front of us. Of course I smiled, laughed, and got a good picture and I hope they did as well, but it is cool either way to be focused on the beauty around us.
It is easy to see either side, or quite a few morte, but my only suggestion today is that you, I and everyone else try to see beyond themselves for just a moment. See it from someone else’s viewpoint, and perhaps this will allow us to see a little more. Don’t be oblivious to the world, and don’t let the world be oblivious to you. It works, it would make the world a better place.
So as the sun sets on another day, be aware we are not alone. It is a big world. Be aware that other are here, and try to be nice along the way, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and see the world…
