The sun sets on another day…
Wow, summer in Michigan is spectacular. The warm breezes and cool nights make the days wonderful and sunsets, well, there are few better.
I was signing old songs to myself and laughing at my bad memory of the lyrics. When I got to Spinning Wheel, well, there was a lesson there somewhere. The song notes that things go up and down all the time, and that a wheel has to go round. That in itself doesn’t say much but after an admonition it asks “did you find your directing sign on the straight and narrow highway.” Then the song takes a positive turn and notes someone is waiting, just for you.
I thought about that for a moment as I moved on to old Alan Parsons songs I laughed and smiled for a moment. Maybe it is all pretty simple. Maybe we just need to find our directing sign and find out way to where we should be. Maybe, just maybe, the world shows us the colors that are real, and we just need to open our eyes and see them. In the end, it was a good song, and a good series of thoughts as well.
So as the sun sets on another day just remember, someone is waiting, just for you, spinnin wheel, spinning true. As you do, enjoy the ride and make every day your day, a day that counts no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and ride a painted pony…
