The sun sets on another day…
I find myself in a unique position today. Normally I think about my kids and the people close to me and how we have meshed in a particular day. Sometimes I’m overcome by a situation or I’m thinking consistently about something I have faced during the day.
If you think about it you have 86,400 seconds in a day in which you can experience positives negatives and others and inside that 86,400 seconds you probably have two to three times that in potential thoughts, decisions, solutions, and ramifications. I know that’s probably too much thinking. I sit here today thinking about a high school friend. He’s going through cancer treatments and for those of you who don’t know it is not the most pleasant experience. Whether you experience it first hand or whether you were a caregiver or close friend the effects of cancer are devastating .
As I sat thinking about high school and this friend who I have thrown in the air the last two times I saw him I wondered about all the things and all the people from high school and beyond. Many of them have faced similar obstacles some with help and some alone. I am happy this person has an excessive number of friends and a spectacular wife who truly believes in him and who he is. The future is not set. We can only count on today and the 86,400 seconds in this day but as I sit here today I have hope that this person will find a positive outcome.
If you have a moment send a happy thought to all the people you know facing difficulties. It doesn’t matter if these difficulties are from cancer or the myriad of other problems in our world today. What does matter is that we find a way to let them know we’re thinking about them and give them our positive thoughts in as much as we can.
So as the sun sets on another day, believe in yourself and believe in others and make today count. Find the happy moments to hold onto and don’t let go, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and hang on…
