The sun sets on another day…
Today was an absolutely bright and amazing day from almost any way you look at it. I find consistently that days that are bright naturally bring out the best in people. Days that are bright also show us an amazing part of ourselves because we’ve find our way to be happier.
What else can do that for you? There are a lot of things that automatically light our way. A kittens playfulness, a child’s laugh, puppies, someone who loves you, a warm fireplace, family, a friend who cares, and so many more can make me smile and light my path.
I am reminded of the song My Favorite Things. There are so many amazing positive things that can make our lives so much better if we just let them. And when the dog bites or the bee stings we can turn that around with just a few of them or sometimes even one.
I had a friend once I used to talk to all the time. I won’t go into the details of why we don’t talk anymore but when we talked my life always was better. It didn’t matter how bad things were I knew I had them in my corner and they could lift my spirit just by saying my name. I have a friend now that does similar but we rarely get to talk as much as we used to and almost never see each other thanks to covid. Still the thought of talking to them makes me feel good about myself and when we do get to talk it can be about everything or nothing and I still feel good.
I strongly suggest that we all find those favorite things and use them to light our pathway and make our days better. Make a list in your head of what makes you smile or better yet who makes you smile. Then make a list of the things that take your smile away. Let’s try to focus on those wonderful things that make our life better and skip the other ones. It’ll make a difference .
So as the sun sets on another day Brown paper packages tide up with strings with bright copper kettles all around me may make the day better but I decide that and maybe I need to pick the best things in my life to lift me up, no matter what. Consider that and find the best things in your life and I’ll see you at the top .
