The sun sets on another day…
The sun passed lightly under the clouds and lit the western sky, not with shades of gold and crimson but with a red hue that glowed like an older movie with spectrapanavision and a splash of more. There is sat and slowly faded away.
The sunset was slower than normal today, mostly because I was paying attention to the colors, close attention. It was not that the sunset was better or worse, just that on this day I was mesmerized by the magnificence before me, and the colors being displayed were more than colorful, but were vibrantly varied and chromatically radiant.
A moment can last forever if you let it. All you have to do is see the moment and hold on. The rules of time apply to everything but passion, and in the real moments of passion we can see a moment for what it is, a slice of our time. A first kiss, a baby’s smile, a laugh, a tear, and even a sunset can be moments we hold onto. Moments that are slow, and pass with a patient grace that perhaps only a few can understand.
All I can ask is for you to hold on to those moments, make them yours, and in the process, find a way to enjoy each one.
So as the sun sets on another day, a good day is one that you enjoy, a great day is timeless and lasts an instant and forever. Enjoy your days, and make each one great, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and live with passion…
