The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was cloudy with a chance of chances. The cold had close din and sealed the snow into exciting ice sculptures and a slick driveway. Still, it was a good weekend, and a good day on this fun Monday.
You ever consider all the good advise we get and do pay attention to? Like running with scissors is something we should not do, and it makes sense, because, well, somewhere somebody did it and it wasn’t fun. Ooops.
I have often thought about all the advice we are given and I was given, that ended up making sense after the fact. I don’t want to say, “remember when I said…” but sometimes you just have to do it, and sometimes you laugh a little about it and say “see”.
My daughter and son told me that sometimes “we just have to see for ourselves” and that means that for a while, the hand on a hot stove is a lesson, but it is one that could have been avoided. I can only hope that in the future lessons learned do not have to be burned hands.
What is the lesson you wish you would have learned before doing? What is that special task that you wish you would have listened to someone about? Why don’t we listen?
So as the sun sets on another day, don’t run with scissors, or put your hand on a hot stove. Instead enjoy your day and maybe there are people who have done it first. Make good choices each and every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and carry forward…
