The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was amazing, as always. The warmer air cascaded across the sky blowing clouds to and fro and changing my view.
I have talked about masks before and how some people hide behind the masks they wear and actually exist underneath. I am amazed at how little we sometimes know about the real people we are around.
I have known people that I have trusted, and watched them be horrible behind me. I have also known people that I have had little trust for actually be more positive than I thought possible. It is this conflict that gives me hope, but also saddens me as we consider the possibilities of negative outcomes.
This week someone I have known for an excessive amount of time actually snapped and was in a horrible situation. His actions do not match the person I have known for 46 years. As I sit and try to comprehend this I think of both family and friends who have shown themselves to be someone different and wonder.
So as the sun sets on another day, be you, be you always, and set aside the masks if you can. After all, you can be whoever you want to be, and I choose Superman, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love deeply, and fly…
