The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was going to be rainy and ick. (Highly technical term there) suddenly the clouds fell away and the horizon was bathed in beautiful layers of color. As it fell away behind me I smiled at yet another wonderful sunset.
There is a fine line each day between the awesome and the not so awesome. Sometimes we get the gracious goodness of goofy gophers. Other times the magnificent malice of musing mice can bring us down. (Yes, highly technical) In the end whether good or bad it is up to us how to interpret, live, and love our lives. I love the old adage of life giving us lemons and making lemonade but it is more. We can’t just make the lemonade we have to know our recipe is good, and that we ca live on lemonade.
I considered the negatives far too often recently. Some of them are devastating. Some are ok, and some are meh. (Another technical term). In spite of some of the devastating negatives I really need to look at the positives and build on them, so I do. For us all it is sometimes tough, but we can overcome.
Make lemonade. OK.
When the car doesn’t start right away consider the price of gas and how you may need the walk. When the dog barks consider the melodic thrum of canine choirs. When the bee stings it lets you know you are alive. When you are feeling sad just grab on and find the way past it, it can be a fantastic ride.
So as the sun sets on another day, we have been given the ultimate power. The power to choose our life. Choose well, live well, love well, and make every day the happiness it can be. IT may surprise you, but those things that bother you may not be important tomorrow, unless of course you have been waiting 2 years for it to happen. Even then, make the best of it, and enjoy every moment you can, no matter what.
