The sun sets on another day…
I smiled at sunset as the sun set in the Western sky. I was considering the day and all of the interactions that it had held.
Sometimes I find myself lost in laughter. I’ve been told many times that I crack myself up but occasionally I make other people laugh too. Over the past several days my interactions have been varied and I have enjoyed the Magnificent number of people that have made my life more full. Some of them are active parts of my life While others I barely know at all. All of them were fun.
The trick to making a person laugh or smile is not to try to make them laugh or smile. Instead the focus is on making yourself laugh or smile and taking them along with you for the ride. It is with that in mind that I told jokes, stories, and generally was than a little silly for the sake of being silly. I like to think I was pretty successful at least with some people.
In particular I find that several jokes can help people unwind and lose themselves in the moment instead of being lost in the difficulties of life. In particular I have used the bear and rabbit joke many times and in many forms to try to keep someone from focusing far too much on far too little.
Not sure what the bear and rabbit joke is, just click here.
Perhaps the best thing to consider is that maybe a little laughter can bring a little Joy and perhaps a little Joy can change the world. It’s funny that only a short time ago people thought Joy was the most important thing in the world and now people are lost and have a hard time finding it. I have to admit that for a long time I thought Joy was the girl who sat across me in biology class in high school. You live and you learn.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope that each one of us finds joy over the next few days and realizes the wonderment of the world inside of a little laughter. I hope you can enjoy your moments, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and ha ha ha …
