Sunset was once again a super display of colors and light. I was beyond impressed and enjoyed the moments as we passed in twilight.
A friend sent me a note about the difference between nice and kind and it got me thinking. Which are we? Which am I? Which are you?
The idea of nice is being positive to other in a self serving way, a nice person will avoid conflct and be “nice” in the face of anything. Kind, on the other hand, will work from an honorable level at all times. Sometimes this may mean not being nice.
When asked a question, “Does this outfit make me look fat?” A nice person will say no. A kind person will tell the truth. A nice person will let you be in a difficult situation for too long, a kind person will tell you there is an issue even if it hurts feelings.
So as the sun sets on another day, which are you? Nice or kind? I think I would rather be kind and let people know the truth rather than shield the world from adversity, but 29000sunsets.com is usually nice. I will have to consider it a little more. In the end, be you, no matter what.
