The sun sets on another day
The crystal blue sky that was above me today felt good and the now cool air for rest my face in a light wind. Outside was spectacular and there is no way that I could feel bad about anything. It all felt good.
We are rapidly closing in on September and pretty soon October will be upon us. The first sign of fall May well be the Spirit Halloween popping up like daisies across strip malls everywhere. We seem to have a fascination with Halloween and the feelings that the holiday gives us.
With that in mind I am going to be a little early and put out a shameless plug in this post. I have three anthologies of horror stories. It is funny though that some of these stories have a depth inside of them that makes them more thoughtful than scary and perhaps more thought-provoking than terrifying. That’s not to say that some people haven’t held their breath while reading deep in Yet Another Slice of Fear or set themselves aside while reading prices slashed in A Slice of Fear.
It is with that in mind that I offer two things that should be read if you like 29,000 sunsets. One such story is in Another Slice of Fear and it is called Monster. In Monster I explore the ideas of what a monster is and also look at the minimal amount of time that mankind has spent on this planet. In Yet Another Slice of Fear, Drifter can make you feel deeply by again looking at what is beneath the surface of what we see. Quite often the surface is how people evaluate and what lies beneath is far more interesting and positive. Consider for a moment how you evaluate people when you meet them, then close your eyes and listen for a moment and see if you would evaluate the same way.
I hope that you can take a moment and support me in my quest to give people a thrill in their life and perhaps have them question a little bit about the world around them.
When I explore fear it is because I have listened to so many and want to ensure that I relay the fear in a manner that does it justice. After all fear is at the core of who we are and I hope that we all can overcome those things that scare us.

So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you find peace. I hope you find passion and a reason to live. Mostly I hope that your life is the best that it can be every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and don’t be afraid…much…
