The sun sets on another day…
I looked out at sunset today with a tear in my eye. The sky had been so difficult and the world seemed so dark lately that the golden and bright sun was nothing if not awe inspiring. As I watched the sunset I felt good about life and then I made it to trivia.
It was an interesting night tonight because trivia was about horror movies. We all have the fun things in our life that we like, but I have always liked horror movies and I have spoke about it several times. I was a little surprised at the variety of questions but they were mostly mainstream and as we played it became evident that our little team was a little engine that could. I felt awesome about it.
Do you have something that you really enjoy that also fills you with relatively useless knowledge that does well in trivia? Do you have something that you really enjoy that people look at you and tilt their head sideways like a German Shepherd chasing the wind? It’s funny how that happens but sometimes we have cool ideas about what we like and we learn a lot about the little things. For tonight, it made me laugh and I enjoyed it.
So as the sun sets on another day, it’s OK to enjoy yourself and find all sorts of things that make you see the world in a different way. Even if what you see is about strange monstrous leprechauns, it can still be a lot of fun. I hope you have amazing times and enjoy those things that others may think trivial but you find exciting. Make your day the best that you can, no matter what.
