The sun sets on another day…
A crisp and amazing sunset. The clouds stood out and shimmered in the twilight. The last gleaming was far more than just a lightshow, there was a certain peace in it all.
I was thinking about all that happens and the word wherefore for a few minutes. It made me smile. It is said that every why has a wherefore, but in as much as that is true, does every wherefore truly define the why? I am not truly sure.
I have been through a few lawyers in my time. For whatever reason many of them are not so forthright as you would expect. They use wherefore to prove a point but do not always have proof of the point nor point in fact. Instead the word is used almost as smoke, and in doing so the truth is skewed. Odd thoughts to be sure.
I think I would rather just use language and say what I mean.
I had a girlfriend once who always said to me, “Don’t say it if you don’t mean it, and if you really mean it, say it”. Sometimes I think she was right, other times I want to run screaming when I think about it.
So as the sun sets on another day, words are powerful tools. Let’s use them to open hearts and minds, and in the process, make the world a better place by our truth. Find the passion and prowess to be yourself, and make yourself understood each day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and keep living…
