The sun sets on another day
I’m driving. I’m watching the sky before main shift and shimmer in the light. Sunset is upon me and the darkness is closing in.
I want to write a poem right now but it’s hard while I am driving. I would talk about the night and how it closes in on us all. As I drive tonight I am overcome by how long twilight holds on. Not only did it make me smile but I felt as though the light was guiding me at least for a while. And then darkness closed in.
We are in a constant cycle of darkness and light. There can be no light without Darkness and no darkness without the light. If I was writing a poem right now instead of talking to a computer I would acknowledge that. Instead all I can say is “wow, what a ride.”
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you enjoy every moment of this fantastic evening. I hope that you know that twilight sometimes hangs on and gives us all hope. And when darkness is closing in I hope you have a flashlight, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and light up my life…
