The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was again dark, but I knew the sky above was filled with color and light. I knew there was a powerful positive if only I stayed high enough.
I find myself thinking about a Comic Con years ago. While I was there it was slow and I met a lovely young lady by the name of Cindy Morgan. Those of you that know, know that she starred in a movie called Caddyshack and a variety of other movies that made her somewhat popular. At the Comic Con we had some fun as it was a little slower. We talked about a little bit of everything and giggled and laughed talking about nothing. At first I didn’t know which part she played in the movie as she had aged them but as I looked and eventually bought a photo I remembered and for quite some time she was a lot of men’s heartthrob.
More than any of that she was a person. During our 20 to 30 minutes of being goofy we weren’t talking about the movie nor were we talking about everyone else or the Comic Con we were just talking. We talked some about her life and some about how things were busy for her as she visited the various comic cons. We talked about her fun times in the past and about how she liked to drive and go to all of the Lexington KY nightlife when she was there. She was real, and we laughed for quite a while.
Last week she passed away at a young age of 69. To me she is one of the positive forces in the world who wasn’t afraid to be real in a quite unreal world. I will remember the time that we spent together, however short, as a fond memory and I hope that somehow in my little way this keeps her alive.
So as the sun sets on another day, meeting people is great. I wish I had spent more time talking to this woman. I had no she had a good life but to me her life was great. Find people and connect and enjoy all the time you can, no matter what.
