The sun sets on another day…
It was a pretty sunset, but the clouds were there too, and I wondered how fantastic the upper sky was as night came upon us. It was fantastic!
Ever go down strange rabbit hole? Of course we have all heard of the ides of March and the fate that fell upon Julius Caesar but I wondered if there was a historical significance or anything that pointed to the ides of March as anything but another day. What I found was pretty much there is no reason to worry about the ides of March. Instead we should consider just what day we’re worried about and how it will affect us.
I think a more crazy idea would be the scary day of tax day or the horror of Friday the 13th but those days are just as hollow and require nothing and there are nothing to be concerned with. Maybe we should start being concerned about strange days and start just enjoying all the moments we can. Maybe I sound like a broken record. Maybe every day is somewhere beyond awesome. I think it’s hard to say.
In the end I looked for meaning in the ides of March and all I found was that even if you have a bad day it has nothing to do with the day. I would like to think that we would be better off to skip the bad day and just be ourselves.
So as the sun sets on another day, I had a good steak tonight. I enjoyed some strange appetizers. In the end it was a good day and the ides of March, well, maybe they will be a little worse next year but I’m guessing they’ll be a lot better. Find the best day that you can every day, even on the weird days, and make this day yours, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and even you…
