The sun sets on another day…
Rain, rain, you are a sight, you take the gray into the night, and when the darkness finally comes, I know that you will sparkle on. Not for a time but instead its true, the rain took sunset, but gave us you.
Hmm.
I know, it rained again, but sometimes that opens doors to far more. Sometimes a little rain need to fall to bring growth, and help us grow. Sometimes a little rain must fall, just to be comforting, or to show a path. Remember though, not to forget to push a little further.
I think that’s a big part of the trick is being able to push a little farther and take things to the wild side from time to time. It’s not that the wild side is any better, it’s more that the wild side opens up possibilities beyond the mundane.
I was in a restaurant recently and laughing with a few people and made the statement that the well behaved rarely make history. A woman looked over at me and scowled. I didn’t make the actual quote I knew which was about well behaved women and when I got home I looked into it a little further. The actual quote comes from a barely known author who wasn’t really talking about being on the wild side but instead was noting that the wild and the not so wild needed each other. It infers that sometimes the people that are making the difference are not as well known but they have a place as well. I thought about that for a while with people like Oppenheimer and Tesla, both who are not so known until fairly recently even though they changed the way that our world works.
For now, i’m just gonna say that if you walk on the wild side, that’s a good thing. It’s not necessary though, and you can walk on the more conservative side and still make a difference. All I can ask and all you should ask of yourself is to make a difference to those around you and hopefully make it positive.
So as the sun sets on another day, I will probably be on the wild side because I can’t shut up. All of you, do what’s best for you, but in doing so define yourself in the best way possible every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and make your heart sing…
