The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was brilliant and sublime. The haze covered the sky, and I, I just enjoyed it as I could.
I was reading a suggestion by an author today about size of books and how to write. Their statement was that readers expected a ridiculous amount of detail and a ton of words every day. In books they suggested that it be significant and perhaps a little more. I sat thinking about that and all of the classic books and how short they actually are. Some of my favorites are so small as to not even be on the list of something important by this post.
I find myself smiling about it and enjoying the moment as I continue to get letters noting that 29,000 sunsets is just the right size, not too large, not too small, but just right. I wonder if anyone ever sat and looked at it some of the classics and asked “why weren’t they bigger?”
For me I think everyone is just right. If you are a writer, write what you like and don’t go to the extreme uploading someone tell you to add and add and add until there is no more. If you’re a reader, drop me a note, let me know what you think. I would get a kick out of it and maybe a little more.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope your day is spectacular and I also hope that as your night closes in that you find a certain piece in the fact that size does not matter as much as you do. Be yourself always, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and live forward…
