The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was a blend of amazement sprinkled with a bit of wonder, then covered in colorful sprinkles. It made me smile to see all the people watching with me.
I said a lot of times and wonder that a immortal question, “why?”. Like how I just did things, is it right? Why is the question on its own with its own punctuation but the actual sentence is not a question, so setting it off with a period makes more sense, right? But why?
This is one of the easy questions. It’s something that we would fight about if you were grammarian and something that I would likely laugh about and not really worry about. We run into strange questions like this all the time and some questions that are far stranger. Why does grass grow the way that it grows? Why do we even have grass, wouldn’t it be better to have gardens in front of our houses instead of decorative weeds? Why do birds run into windows? Why do weeds find a way to grow up wherever they want? Why are some things poison and some are not? Why do people get angry over things they can’t control? Why, why, why?
It’s very possible we could sit here all day and write out fun little why questions. Then we have to ask ourselves, why. See this time I didn’t do it with all the quotes and question Marks and periods. One of the things that makes us so great or at least in my opinion so great is that we try to figure things out. We spend a little time and come up with a little solution and as we do we begin to grow. Dealing with most animals is like dealing with a perpetual 2 year old. They do the same thing over and over even if they know that it will come out in a different way than what they want it to. We have the ability to learn. All of the different “why” questions that we ask are opportunities for growth, and as we go through answering those questions perhaps we will avoid making the mistakes that someone else has. Who knows.
I could go into a tirade about people and options and how deep we feel and all sorts of other things where we could avoid the pain associated with why, instead let’s just try to grow from it and when we get answers let’s listen to ourselves and move on. After all if we learn we grow.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you find the answers to your questions and as you do so I hope that you find a certain peace inside of yourself. Maybe find the little piece inside of yourself, why did we make a series of words that sound the same but mean radically different things? Oops. Keep growing every day, never believe you have the only answer, find truth and then find the truth behind the truth always and forever, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and be nice too…
