The sun sets on another day…
The rain is gone again and beauty is everywhere. The temperature has fallen, but I know it will be warm again soon. The skies are lit up and I can do nothing but enjoy the cool breeze.
When possible I join different writing groups to get perspective and enjoy other people who see the world in a different way. When you think of it it’s kind of funny it’s all these other people see the world in a different way and intersect all over the place. Doesn’t that mean they see a lot of things the same way?
Today there was a rather nondescript picture of a house, and as I reviewed it my mind was everywhere. The house looked as though it had eyes and was yelling a small yell from an open door, and suddenly my mind went sideways.
In the time given to right I put together a short half done story about a knight approaching a creature and in the process realizing that the ideas of Good and Evil may not be what he thinks they are. I purposefully wrote it from a perspective that was open so the reader could fill in the blank about the character. Since it was Modern I had lots of strange thoughts in my mind.
Here is your strange thought of the day, knights of old might be rich and they might be poor. If you were a modern knight, would you be driving a Mercedes or a Corolla? Your trusty steed is waiting and really wants to know.
As I said thinking like that, I wondered if anyone else was in that line of thought. As we read our stories quite a few of us seemed to align, and I wondered if anyone else was considering strange car choices?
So as the sun sets on another day, sometimes you just have to drive a Corolla because it’s a good car and will get you there. Sometimes you should drive a Jeep because it’s a Jeep thing. Most of the time you should find a happy day, because good days will make you feel just a little better. Have an awesome evening, no matter what.
