The sun sets on another day…
Sunset made me smile, laugh, and sigh all at once. The sky was intense and the waves of color were almost blinding. The orange hues were fantastic, and I watched carefully in the cool breeze.
People learn every day whether they want to or not. They are exposed to stimuli and crushed with their senses as more and more information is launched on them. Some people learn, some people discard the ideas they should be learning and walk away to their place of knowing. It just depends on the person, and their level of understanding of the world.
I find myself in a spot every day where I learn more. I spend a lot of time opening my mind and listening to what goes on around me. It is sometimes a challenge, but the edge of reason is always there, and as I see more, my views have to change as my understanding of the situation or item changes. I am reminded of the movie “I,Robot” where part of sentience was gaining a deeper understanding of something, and then changing the way to respond to it. This often does not seem to make sense, but if you look deeper there is always an alternate path and more often, a way of thinking that may be foreign to our earlier selves.
If you know, really know that something is true, maybe you don’t understand what that something is, or what it stands for, or what deeper meaning it has. I have found that often those people that profess utter and complete knowledge have never stopped to consider beyond their point of view. There are many points of view out there. Many of them that do not agree as well.
Perhaps we should reconsider daily. Perhaps we should open our minds and learn and unlearn often. In the end, the world will be a better place if we evolve and grow, and not “know”.
Anyway, it is a thought, I welcome all alternate points of view.
So as the sun sets on another day, learn to have knowledge, but not to know. Know that learning is a part of our being, and never stop looking for more truth beyond your “truth”. Somewhere in the middle you may find happiness, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and climb every mountain…
