The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was dark and filled with clouds as the rain tinkled down on the ground. It would have been rather mundane except the temperatures we’re just right for the rain hitting the snow and creating mists everywhere. It wasn’t like fog but instead was surreal and beautiful. A beautiful sunset with no sun.
Sometimes the things we’re looking for aren’t exactly what we need. There was an old song about unanswered prayers that I never seemed to fully grasp. It made a lot of sense and was very heartfelt, but as I listen to it I wondered why our prayers could not be answered. Why can’t we get the things we want, and why sometimes do we miss the things we need.
Maybe, just maybe, what we want and what we need aren’t really part of the equation. Maybe the equation is all about what we can enjoy. Can we take that extra moment and enjoy life? Can we take the extra time and realize how good we have it? Even in the darkest night, there is still a light somewhere. I should know, often I’ve had a hard time finding it.
Do you feel that way? Or do you feel that I am overreaching and that I believe too much in the good of things? Lots of people think that and all I can say is that opinions vary.
So as the sun sets on another day, take the time to enjoy life. Take the time to run through the snow mists. Enjoy everything that comes at you if you can, and if you can’t, find something else to enjoy. Make your day the best day ever, each and every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and frolic in the snowy mists…
