A nice sunset as part of a beautiful day. I found the world to be quite amazing out there right now. Clear sky, and a clear path.
I had fun today. I’m a little sore right now after cutting down at least 6 trees and taking those into bite sized pieces that could easily be disposed of. A new chainsaw to replace one that died after only a year. It was electric, boogie woogie oogie woogie, and my previous one had lasted almost 11 years only to have the new one fail quickly.
I can’t make up this stuff huh?
At any rate, in the midst of my mechanical machinations, I hit a knot in the wood. Under normal circumstances that really doesn’t mean very much. In this particular case I was holding on tight, the tree held on tight, and the bar didn’t do as well. This put me on a path of finding a new bar relatively quickly at the local hardware store. Everything was solved and I resolved to pay attention to the wood, which I should have been doing already. I had taken a break from chopping things into little pieces so my fault. Of course Pepper enjoyed the ride along the way.
A nice drive later and I was back working again. There was fun and nobody was taking my T bird away.
How about you? Did you find some fun today that made a difference? Did you find a path that made life better for you? Did you find even a break that took away all of the stresses and strains in your life and gave you something else to focus on? Maybe that’s the secret that we should all learn. Maybe sometimes when the world seems like it’s too much, we need to find something we love and do it.
For me that love today was felling trees exactly where I wanted them and chopping them into little pieces. Dead trees aren’t good to have around and can be a little hazardous as the winds of spring come up. I have a lot more to do, but I will enjoy it always.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you had a good day too. I hope you found a path that made you smile, and mostly I hope you found you. Remember you are special every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and enjoy a breakā¦
