The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was pretty spectacular. The picture that I’m posting today does not give it justice or do it justice or encourage the justice of this fantastic view. Instead, it is just a moment in time where I was lost in beauty.
I’m spending a lot of time with my grandson right now. It’s a real positive in my life but it’s also full of strange turn arounds and new ways to think about the world. Somewhere in the midst of everything we continue to forget about how the world turns call mom and somewhere in the midst of it all we lose the innocence to ask the question “why?”.
As I watched my grandson debating the reason behind having to have one more chicken nugget before eating two more fries I wondered if everyone could possibly consider the world in the ways of a child instead of blindly accepting how the world is for how the world may be.
Perhaps if we took just a second and embraced the possibility that everything is really a mystery, maybe then we would feel and understand all of the different ways that the world is put together. Maybe, just maybe, if we ask questions more than we believe our opinions of what we know we would have an opportunity see the reality of the world.
I am an old man, I know this. Each day I learn something new and I wonder why all of us don’t see we are in a world where we don’t know everything and where we can be part of a little more.
So as the sun sets on another day, I think I’m going to ask why more. I think I’m going to enjoy doing it. Mostly, I think as I embrace the world, I can realize that every day is an opportunity to grow. At least I’m going to try. Find your way, and embrace something new every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and why or why.,,
