The sun sets on another day…
Rain has begun to flow in and steal my sunset, but all was not lost, the shards of sun appeared and disappeared, and the world was a better place.
It’s a cool word isn’t it. The word machinations always has made me smile because of all of the things that it can mean and all of the things that it inherently means. A lot of people apply it to technology or machinery, but at its very core it is just a plan to do something.
Tonight I watched a child, only 3 1/2 years old, compose and deliver a tremendous plan in order to get ice cream. I would have given ice cream anyway, but at this particular point it was interesting seeing how a 3 1/2 year old could reason their way into ensuring they got what they wanted. The methodical machination was being nice and trying to help with everything but watching all the time to see my reaction. I have to admit the side eye was pretty cool as I was measured for how I was feeling about the situation. It was a lot of fun.
In the end I giggled more than a little. In the end we all had ice cream and we all enjoyed the moment. Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do?
Have you ever watched someone execute a plan that was obvious? What did you do? How did you react? Did you let it happen?
A fantastic series of questions with a fantastic series of answers. All I can say is that I enjoyed the evening even with the scheming going on.
So as the sun sets on another day, come up with a plan and make it work. I hope it’s for more than ice cream. I hope you realize how special every moment is in our world, and mostly, I hope you enjoy your moments every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and hold tight…
