The sun sets on another day…
Another wet day. The sump runs a little faster, the wind blows a little harder, and the rain comes and comes and comes. I’m sure it will end soon but who knows what tomorrow might bring.
Yes, I am full of questions. Everyday can be a series of questions and every day is pretty much one of those things that I want to learn about. Today I want to reiterate something that I do occasionally.
What is 29,000 sunsets? The easy answer is that it is an outlet provided for ideas that range from simple to ridiculous. Each day I present something and each day I hope that at least one person sees value and what I’ve written. You might or might not see value but somebody else might or might not as well. In the end, if just one person finds value, I have done enough.
How do I come up with the ideas for 29,000 sunsets? Well, I talked to people. I look at the world and I see possibilities every day. I look around the room and listen. Somewhere along the way there are things that matter even in the smallest series of thoughts. It may not matter to you, but it may matter to you. It just depends on how our day intersects and what you’re thinking about it the time. An example would be last night I saw someone that was enjoying themselves at a restaurant, and somewhere in the middle of it I was inspired. I didn’t write that post, but I could have based on how they approach the world and lived it with tenacity.
Why? That could be a more interesting question. My most likely answer is to follow along with Pluto from animal House and just say why not. Each day I have been attempting to write something positive where the world can sometimes be negative. Maybe I want to lift at least one person up a day and give them a better day. Maybe I’d like to see someone open their mind to more instead of believing that they’ve got it all figured out. I’ve done a lot of things, I’ve been a lot of places, and recently I was told that I have a story for just about every situation, that’s pretty much because I do. I keep remembering and keep looking for the world to be that place that we all can live happily. I have to admit that I have a stack of not so happy posts, those always end up being set aside. I want to keep things positive, I think the world should be more positive.
How about you? Do you see the world as a potential positive that may find a negative from time to time that is easily overcome? Do you see the world as a series of possibilities that will simply make our world better if we pay attention? If you’ve been a reader here for a while, have I ever made you feel even a little better? If the answer is yes, that is the why.
So as the sun sets on another day, why ask why when how is so much more fun? Let’s make the world a fun place each day and somewhere along the way, let’s have some fun, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and how did I get off on this topic…
