The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was wonderful, a shimmering testament to watercolors and pastels. I smiled as the western sky lit up, and slowly twilight took the day away, but tomorrow is still there.
Well, it was funny, not funny. Today grandchildren walked through the yard and came upon something different. A Black Racer was in the yard trying to sun and it became an immediate amusement as everyone ran to the concrete looking for safety from the not so scary snake. They pointed to where it was, and I went out and tapped it on the tail, and ran it out of the yard. Nope, did not hurt the snake, they are good for cleaning up stuff.
I laughed at the interaction, but was thoughtful at the idea of how we should see things in our life that just pop up. My suggestion? Don’t run. Just enjoy the moments and find a way to overcome whatever obstacle is tossed you way. I know you can do it, even if it is a little scary for some.
In the end, it will all be good.
So as the sun sets on another day, Indiana Jones did not like snakes. I don’t mind them but would not pet them to sleep. Others think they are super awesome. In the end, they are just trying to get by, just like all of us. Let them, and enjoy your life as you do. After all, if the snake is in the grass, at least it is not in your bed. Be nice if you can, and run your snakes away, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and check the sheets…
