The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was cloudy with a chance of more clouds. The Gray haze led to a hazy twilight where it was hard to tell the water and wave from the silver sky. Still I enjoy the occasional spot of pink that bounced out upon the horizon.
For the most part kids are a lot of fun. They’ll make you laugh, they’ll make you cry, and in the end you will enjoy the moments or you will pull your hair out running from the room. In the end everything is a spectacular moment even as children scream “neener neener” or “nanny nanny boo boo” Which is the universal kid motto.
I was watching the interaction today and I wonder where that phrase came from because it was popular when I was a kid and it still is pretty popular now. How is it that kids find their way into your heart and help you find the child and yourself.
I hope you take a moment and look for the child that you are and no matter what your age say a few choice words for all the adults that have forgotten how to be children. There’s no better time, there’s nothing better at all.
So as the sun sets on another day, I can only leave you with a few words that I know will be part of your day for at least three minutes. “Booty booty, nanner nanner, poo poo head.” After all, that’s what I’ve become and you should join me there, no matter what.
