The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was full of clouds, but somewhere high above I knew the lightshow was stellar. Here on earth, well, the people were awesome.
I was at an event today and sitting in the chair with very little traffic coming my way when a woman walked up and was limping from all the walking she had done. The event was very large so I could see that and I told her to walk on to the very soft carpet that we had in our booth and sit down into the plungy cushy high chair that made you feel like you were floating on air. She did so and then I started talking to other people as they walked up and eventually ended up talking to her.
Her job had made her come to the event and she was enjoying it but she was having a hard time walking it. I apologized and asked her if I could get her anything to help her and she said no and then added a quote, “I figure I’m going to get to walk out of here soon, so everything is all right.”
As I thought about it And she left I realized that there were many people who couldn’t walk out. Some people were having real problems and some people probably were feeling pretty bad and we’re going to be stuck there for a while. She thanked me for the hospitality and said she was heading home right then and walked out and found her way somewhere.
To me this was a super positive attitude as you never know about others and there are people that aren’t going to walk out easily. I know that happens a lot so I sit back and I just try to do what I can do and do it better. That’s kind of the best we can do, right?
So as the sun sets on another day, don’t look at how bad life is, look at how good life is. If you look for the Baden things you are always going to find it, but maybe you just need to go forward and realize there is some good out there, and because of that we’re all going to have a little fun and enjoy our lives a little more. Keep being awesome always, and find that positive Rd. Because at least you’ll get to walk out of here, no matter what.
